What about Windborn Muse for your MP Doran deck? Its butt is kind of big, but its ability is what sells it.
Cards like Holy Armor, and too a much lesser extent, Castle (with vigilant critters... Oathsworn Giant?) could be worthwhile.
Just pick a color to splash (Black, most likely) and go from there.
